October 1"DO YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR?" - Strategies for Navigating Auditions and Adjudicated Events - Preparing Students for Successful Performance
Join us for a discussion led by moderators Ed Wiles and Kathy Merwin, with input from local adjudicator and OhioMTA State Certification Chair, Dr. Cicilia Yudha. We will explore all the many opportunities for student performances within and beyond WRMTA, including OhioMTA/MTNA, OMEA (Ohio Music Educators Association), NFMC/OFMC (National/Ohio Federation of Music Clubs) and American College of Musicians Piano Guild Auditions. Conversations will focus on specific requirements for various events, appropriate timelines for preparation, repertoire selection, and interpreting judges' ratings and comments - all with a goal of motivating excellence and growth for each individual student.
